HELLA GOOD PRESS helps local businesses, creators, and individuals get seen through community print mailers, online directories, digital features, websites, social media, advertising, and promotional projects.

We believe legal terms should be clear and easy to understand. Here are the simple rules that govern our relationship.

1. Working With HELLA GOOD PRESS

By submitting information or stories, signing up for an account, purchasing advertising or sponsorship, participating in a promotion, or using any HELLA GOOD PRESS website or service, you agree to these terms.

If you submit information on behalf of a business or third party, you confirm that:

• You are authorized to represent that business or individual.

• You are authorized to share all submitted information, photos, and materials.

• The information provided is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

2. Permission to Use Submitted Materials

When you submit business details, personal stories, photos, or promotional materials, you grant HELLA GOOD PRESS a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, and feature them to promote your business, accomplishment, or HGP.

This includes your:

• Name, business name, logo, and brand assets

• Photos, headshots, videos, and artwork

• Website and social media links

• Descriptions, quotes, and story details

• Product, service, or achievement information

• Testimonials and user-submitted feedback

We may feature these materials across any HGP media channels, including:

• Co-op Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) print flyers and mailers

• Print publications and local guidebooks

• Digital news desks, websites, and online directories

• Social media feeds and digital advertisements

• Email newsletters and featured articles

• Sponsored content, billboards, and future HGP media products

We reserve the right to edit, crop, resize, shorten, format, or adjust submitted content for clarity, length, design fit, and editorial style. We will not intentionally alter your information in a way that is misleading.

3. Content Ownership & Responsibility

Please only submit materials you own or have explicit rights to share. Do not submit third-party logos, images, videos, artwork, or trademarked material without authorization.

If a legal claim arises because you provided materials without proper permission or copyright ownership, you agree to take full responsibility for any costs, fees, or damages incurred.

4. No Guaranteed Results or Publication

• Submissions: Submitting a story, win, or brag to HGP does not guarantee publication. HGP retains full editorial discretion over what content gets featured or published.

• Advertising & Promotions: While we will deliver the paid advertising, layout, print run, or promotion agreed upon, we cannot promise specific commercial outcomes, such as a set number of customers, leads, sales, website traffic, social followers, search rankings, or revenue.

• Paying for an HGP service covers the agreed placement, print, or production work—not guaranteed business performance.

5. Review & Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to maintain high accuracy across our features. However, you are responsible for reviewing and confirming your details when proofs or approvals are requested.

HELLA GOOD PRESS is not liable for errors caused by inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete information submitted by you. If we make an editorial error, we will make reasonable efforts to correct it in digital formats where feasible.

6. Print & Distributed Media Limitations

Once promotional materials, print mailers, publications, social posts, or billboards have been printed, mailed, posted, or distributed, they cannot be changed, recalled, or deleted.

(For example: once an EDDM flyer or print newsletter has been mailed, individual copies cannot be retrieved.)

7. Payments, Cancellations & Refunds

Specific pricing and payment terms for advertising, directory slots, or production services will be provided at the time of purchase.

• Unless stated otherwise in writing, payments are non-refundable once design work has commenced, ad space has been reserved, or materials have been scheduled, printed, or distributed.

• If HGP cancels a service prior to delivery, we will work with you on an equitable solution, such as rescheduling, issuing service credit, offering replacement placement, or providing a refund when appropriate.

8. Directory Updates & Online Data Requests

You may request updates to or the removal of your business directory listing or active digital profiles on HGP platforms at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to process these changes promptly.

However, we cannot alter or delete content that has already been printed, mailed, shared on third-party channels, archived, or indexed by search engine caches.

9. Privacy Policy & Data Collection

We collect necessary information to provide our services, operate our platform, and communicate with you.

Information We Collect:

• Contact details (Name, email address, phone number, mailing address)

• Business and professional details (Job title, company, location)

• Submitted content (Photos, links, social handles, story descriptions)

• Technical details collected automatically via form submissions and site traffic

How We Use & Share Data:

• Public information submitted for directories, story submissions, or ads will be displayed publicly on agreed HGP channels.

• Contact information is used internally to operate your account, respond to inquiries, process payments, and send administrative updates.

• We do not sell your private personal data or contact lists to third parties.

• We may share data with trusted third-party service providers solely to operate our business (e.g., website hosts, form software, payment processors, printing vendors, and email service providers).

10. Advertisements, Sponsorships & Endorsements

Some listings, features, and posts on HELLA GOOD PRESS are paid commercial services. When appropriate, content will be clearly labeled using terms such as Advertisement, Sponsored, Paid Placement, Partner Content, or Promotional Feature.

Paid placement or coverage on HGP does not constitute a personal endorsement or formal warranty of a business, product, or service.

11. Affiliate Links

HELLA GOOD PRESS may include affiliate links across its websites, newsletters, or guides. If you click an affiliate link and make a purchase or perform a qualifying action, HGP may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We clearly disclose affiliate links where applicable.

12. External Links & Third-Party Vendors

HGP media channels may feature links to external websites, local businesses, or third-party products. We do not own, control, or monitor third-party sites. Any interaction, purchase, or contract made with a third-party business featured on HGP is strictly between you and that business.

HELLA GOOD PRESS is not responsible for third-party products, services, fulfillment, pricing, customer service, or privacy policies.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, HELLA GOOD PRESS (including its operators, affiliates, and partners) shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, lost profits, lost revenue, or business interruption resulting from your use of our website, forms, services, or media channels.

For any claim related to a paid advertising or promotional service, HGP’s total financial liability will not exceed the exact dollar amount paid by you to HGP for that specific service.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless HELLA GOOD PRESS from and against any claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from:

• Copyright, trademark, or rights violations in materials you submitted.

• Misleading, false, or inaccurate information supplied in your submission.

• Your breach of these terms.

HELLA GOOD PRESS may revise these terms periodically to reflect business growth, operational changes, or new legal guidelines. The updated version will always be posted with a revised Last Updated date.

16. Governing Law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any legal disputes arising under these terms shall be handled within the applicable courts of California. If any individual clause is determined to be unenforceable, all remaining provisions remain in full force.

5. We respect your privacy: We use your personal data to run HGP and deliver services, and we never sell contact lists to third-party brokers.
